Welcome from Good Point Games!

Greetings, Rendezvous followers! Welcome to the first in a series of forthcoming blog posts detailing Good Point Games’s development journey. As we progress in creating playable builds, we will share our process, our vision, and our game’s unique features.

First, though, we want to share more about our team and its members!

The members of Good Point Games– Alex (the artist known as Ninja_Teapot), Priscilla and Richard– met as students in NYU’s Game Design MFA program. During the first semester of our program, we were tasked, among many other projects, with designing narrative tabletop games in small groups for Game Design 1 with Eric Zimmerman. Our first game, Hide Cecilia, arose from that project. We revisited Hide Cecilia for our course final and subsequently decided to continue development on the game in hopes of eventual publication.

One year later, we were able to successfully license Hide, Cecilia to a publishing company. During that year, we developed a true friendship, and in the aftermath of that success, we realized we wanted to continue making games together. Thus, Good Point Games was born!

More about our upcoming project, Rendezvous, in the next blog post! For now, we’d like you to learn more about us!

Ninja_Teapot has experience in programming, tech-art, and AI, and is passionate about implementing specific “game-feel.”

Priscilla also codes and is interested in the game’s larger concepts and mechanics, and is concerned with how our games will make people think and feel.

Richard is a writer and tabletop designer with a background in law and politics who enjoys ideating the game’s central mechanics.

Stay tuned, we’re excited to share more about how the three of us work together to make Rendezvous!
